Terms and Conditions - Story Within Course

The course is subject to the same general Terms and Conditions as outlined on the main website. In addition, the following Ts and Cs apply to courses:

1. Cancellation and Refunds

Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)

In accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days of making your booking/purchase without giving any reason. This cancellation period expires 14 days after the day you made the purchase

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel in writing via email.

For courses that have not yet started within the cooling-off period:

  • If you cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period and before the course has started, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and not later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision to cancel.

For courses that start within the cooling-off period:

  • If the course begins during the 14-day cooling-off period and you have expressly requested that we begin providing the service, you still have the right to cancel within the 14-day period.

  • However, you will be required to pay for the proportion of the course that has been provided up until the time you informed us of your cancellation.

  • This will be calculated on a pro-rata basis (e.g., if you cancel after attending 1 session of a 6-session course, you would pay for approximately 17% of the course).

Cancellation After the Cooling-Off Period

Once the 14-day cooling-off period following your purchase has expired:

  • While we generally don't offer refunds after this point, we understand that unexpected circumstances can arise.

  • Should you need to cancel your place due to exceptional circumstances, please submit your request in writing via email.

  • In such cases, any refunds granted will reflect:

  • A £30.00 administration fee

  • An adjustment for any course sessions you've already attended

Cancellation by Us

The Book Edit reserves the right to cancel a course if, for example, there are insufficient enrolments. If this occurs, we will refund your course fee in full. We recommend early booking to prevent courses being unnecessarily cancelled.
